I am 4 weeks pregnant and want to know if I should stop using sunless tanning lotion.
erin,
i think you should call and ask your doctor’s office.
people in here sometimes tend to give advice based on opinions and instincts and are not accountable for bad advice they may give.
i love you.
oh, and just remember, the next time i see you, it will be the weekend.
no because the chemicals inside the lotion sink into your skin which go into your blood stream. I would not suggest using it. You are not even supposed to get that much sun when your pregnant either.

Yes, it’s fine. The ingredients are almost no different than regular lotion except there are things that stain your skin.
Tanning isn’t even a really big deal. The thing you have to watch out for is becoming overheated. If you can lay by a pool and go for a dip every fifteen minutes or so, you’ll be fine.
Think about it…there is no way UV rays pass through your skin, fatty tissue, intestine, uterine wall and amniotic fluid to get to the baby. People will tell you tanning is bad, but it’s due to the heat and nothing to do with "cooking the baby," or whatever the misinformed think.
