I’m a sun worshipper but recent years I’ve become more aware of my health and the risks associated with tanning. That’ said I’m not about to walk around with that natural ghostly white look. And then it happened. A popup drops down on my screen that reads “Get Your Tan In 60 Seconds with a Sunless Tanning Spray Booth.”

I’ve call a shelf full of SPF 15 tanning lotions; I’ve got another shelf full for the indoor tanning beds, and all the while I’m not enjoying my tanning nearly as much as I use to because of one nagging thought “melanoma.” But the “white” option isn’t an option at all. So you can see why this little popup instantly caught my attention. A 60 second tan? What could that be about?

So I decided that this was the perfect opportunity to get rid of my ghostly white legs. The winter had seen my tanning fading and time restrictions had resulted in not making it to the tanning bed so the dreaded white had become my color. Here was the perfect chance to try the spray tanning booth. I’m excited!

I arrive for my appointment. Enter the dressing room, strip; put the surgical cap on my hair as instructed making sure to pull it up tight against my hairline. Then I put a thick cote of lotion on my fingernails, toenails, feet, and the back of my hands so they won’t become stained too dark.

That’s it I’m ready. Into the booth I go with my arms straight out and my knees apart I close my eyes and push the button. The cool mist sprays me from head to toe for the next 15 seconds. It’s like being in a car wash. The machine stops. I then turn around to tan my back side. 15 second more and I’m done.

I step out and now all I’ve got to do is stand for 30 seconds and air dry. Then its towel off and get dressed. Wow! That was easy!

You are sprayed with a mixture of moisturizers, DHA self tanners and bronzers. The bronzer gives you instant color so when you walk out of the booth you have a golden glow for that instant gratification. And in just a few hours the self tanner will be full effect.

When it comes to fading I found my face was the first to start to fade around day 4 and then my torso started to fade around day 5. But the legs and arms lasted just over a week. Hot hot hot!!!
