Wedding? Try A Sunless Tanning Booth
You’ll commonly hear them referred to as the “No burn tanning bed” or “airbrush tanning machines.” Call them what you want but one thing is for certain they are definitely a perfect solution! Air brushing has been promoted for special occasions for some time but in recent years it has really gained popularity. In one session you can have the perfect tan. In an hour or so you can have the perfect tan that will last a week to ten days and you have no health risks to worry about. The spray tanning booths use exactly the same dyes and process as air brushing. The big difference is the automation. It takes only a few minutes and your perfect tan is complete and ready to show off. The American Academy of Dermatology is promoting the sunless tanning booth as the best tanning solution in decades with no health risks. They are encouraging sun worshippers to consider this as a viable option to other tanning methods. The spray that is used has DHA which is a colorless chemical that interacts with your skin changing it to brown. The top layer of your skin is dead and this is where the dye adheres to so your tan is good for anywhere from 5 to 8 days. The DHA gets absorbed into your body through your skin and tests have shown no toxicity. It’s actually been used in cosmetics since its discovery in Germany back in the 1920’s. It’s just recently made it to the tanning world. So why spend hours lying outside in the sun getting sweaty and risking a burn? Wouldn’t that be awful for your big day? All you need to do is book an appointment at your local spa and take 10 minutes out of your day. It’s easy and it’s quick. If that still doesn’t appeal to you consider your last option. You can get your tan right from a bottle such as with Ultra Bronze Max. Don’t worry – no more orange shades from yesteryear. You do remember those shades of orange? Today’s sun in a bottle is a far superior from the products on the market a few years ago. You’ll get a wonderfully deep rich brown tan that will fool everyone! For both bottle tans, air brushed tans, and booth tans, you need to exfoliate and moisturize prior to the application. Sloughing away dead skin will help your tan adhere much better and look much more natural. Continuing to moisturize will help make your tan last longer and stay looking good. Apply a light coating of moisturizer on your elbows, toes, and other rough skinned area. Make sure you don’t apply it to the palms of the hands which don’t normally tan. Your spray booth tan will last between 5 and 7 days so the best time to have it done is about 2 or 3 days before your wedding. Book your appointment well in advance to ensure your time. You might also want to do a trial run previous to the main application to ensure you like the look. Your home bottle tan will last the same amount of time but you can start to apply it about 5 days prior to the wedding and you can touch up every day so by the wedding there is no noticeable fading. You can do this with an airbrush tan as well, but it is fairly costly at between $45 and $60 per spray. Where as $20 will buy you a bottle of sprayless tan and provide around 20 applications. The choice is yours – airbrushing, tanning booth or a bottle. For the blushing bride I highly recommend the sunless tanning booth. You’ll have the perfect tan. You’ll look great and feel great. After all it’s your special day! |
