how can you protect just like, one mole in the tanning bed, it’s been there forever, but i mean i just don’t want a tan on it, please help.
i don’t want any bitchin either, about not safe, I KNOW.

I used to work at a tanning salon and people have asked me this before. It’s not a big deal to tan without covering it but you are concerned so, just cover it with one of the stickers that are offered for free at most salons and/or put the highest spf sunscreen on it. I don’t think it’s necessary to do all this but it’s up to you. Check with your doctor to see what kind of mole it is and if you should be concerned.

If any any new moles or freckles you don’t remember having appear, definitely have them checked!!!!

  1. Just wait until summer to tan. And the mole won’t go away if you get a tan on it. Maybe if you put sunscreen on it before you go tanning, then it won’t have a tan on it. Just ask the people who own the taning beds. Maybe they have a way for that sort of thing.

  2. I’d use some Zinc-oxide- the whitish, sometimes blue sunscreen, (the ones most people put on their nose and lips) It provides extra protection from UV rays.

  4. The mole shouldn’t tan. I have some small hereditary moles on my back, and they don’t ever tan. But if you are worried about, dab some high-spf sunscreen on just that mole.
