i'd go bed or nothing at all. i had a spray tan for my senior prom and for the most part, i looked ok, but in some of the pictures, i looked orange and when it wore off, i looked like i had a terrible skin disease. i tried tanning bed for my junior prom and all i did was burn. and you can't keep tanning until your burn heals. so i just haven't done anything since. i actually quite like my milky-colored skin. =]
References :
Spray booth tanning is so much better for you than a tanning bed! Tanning beds are just as dangerous as being out in the sun and can cause skin cancer. Melanoma is a skin cancer that is caused by tanning beds/being out in the sun and it is the worst kind of skin cancer. There is also that risk. Much healthier to get a spray-on tan, and self-tanners also work really well. I recommend Natural Glow by Jergens.
References :
Articles I've read, I use self-tanner.

I would choose the spray booth versus a tanning bed. My mother died of skin cancer, the Melanoma. She didn't even lay out. She would get burned on her shoulders when picking blueberries when she wore a tank top. She had brown hair and brown eyes. I did a research on it and it showed that tanning beds are worse than the sun because it has more concentrated rays.

I have done the mystic tan booths. That makes me wonder if breathing that stuff in what it does to your lungs. It can't be good for your lungs, plus it never got the inside of my thighs even though I followed what the directions said to the Tee. Mine never lasted a week. I have fair skin and have tried it twice. It does not leave orange streaks. It made me look like I had a tan where it hit my skin at. I just do not do any of it anymore. If I did, I would probably buy something I could spray on myself.
References :
After all, God made me who I am today. Why try to change what is already "perfect" in God's eyes. Color of my skin or color of my hair. Those things are types of things we do not have to change. We can change our attitudes.

Booth! This is the safest way to get a tan. You get the tan color you want without wrinkles or skin cancer!
References :
The tanning booth does not damage skin but the beds will becasue of the UV Rays.
Say, Did you hear about the 27 yr old who died of skin cancer for using a tanning bed 2x a day for seven years between the ages of 14 and 21? It was on Yahoo News yesterday. So sad.
References :
This is the best question for me, as I just had my first spray tan experience. Let me explain: I am really fair and I do not like the effects of a tanning bed. A side order of skin cancer? No thanks. So I decided to have a "mystic" brand tan. Its different from a tanning lotion because it really does distribute a very even, natural looking tan. It's also better than having a spray tan "air-brushed" which can take 20-30 minutes. A mystic tan takes about 1 minute. I NEVER LOOKED ORANGE. It was idiot proof in the sense that the machine actually talks you through the whole process. But there's always a catch, right? I found it nearly impossible to breathe in the mist that was spraying in the booth. I was literally choking on the taste and smell of this stuff. That said, its a very short process and I had a hot tan on my vacation. If you can take the awful taste or hold your breath while your in there, I would highly recommend the spray tan. It costs about 20 bucks and if you moisturize your skin, it lasts up to 10 days.
References :
Neither. Spray tans ALWAYS come out orange, and just 15 minutes in a tanning bed can raise your chance of skin cancer up to 20 percent, depending on skin color. Neither look natural either. Get at home tanner. It looks natural (more natural anyway), and it costs WAY less.
References :
Spray booth. If you keep going to tanning beds you'll get more wrinkles and it can potentially be dangerous.
