Im new at the tanning thing and I’ve tried it a few times and i seem to get more tan on my torso than on my sides and shoulders/collar bone area even when I move around. I was wondering if there are any tips to get more of an even tan, different bed, technique, etc. And I know about the safety issues involved in tanning so keep it to yourself
go under sun
but a bottle of tan and tan urself

i wouldn’t even go to a tanning bed.
i could be biased cause i’m asian and naturally tan, but i would hate to risk getting skin cancer and would put on so much sunscreen (if possible, which it’s probably not) that i wouldn’t even get any color.

ummm. ur stomach usally tans faster b/c of the amount of blood that is there…. it just takes time… trust me it happened the same way rith me…. maybe try a tanning lotion with a tingle sensation that can also make u darker

apply the tanning oil/lotion evenly on your body.. and seriously ppl need to shutup about the tanning causes cancer, we already know this, worry about your own body.

If you’re using a tanning bed and it’s not working so great, try spray tans. That’s all I ever get. Or you could just use a self-tanner, that way you can decide the volume of the tan in different places.

YOU DON’T "Tan Properly".
No matter how you do it, you are risking SKIN CANCER!
You need to protect your skin, not cook it!
And, no I won’t keep it to myself. You are risking skin cancer, at worst and prematurly aged skin at the least.
Do you really want leather-like skin when your’re thirty and look sixty by the time you’re forty?

Bed tanning can do that to you. If you can, just go out in the sun. No amout of moving around in the tanning bed will even it out.

Since you know the safety issues i wont say any thing
jk. Um are you using an accelorator lotion? When i was tanning i would use some different types of lotions and tingle lotions that helped me get a more even tan. Look at a beauty supply store for some dont buy them at the shop way too expensive!! Also if your place has a stand up bed i would try that a few times it will get everywhere! But be careful a lot of people faint in there so drink a lot of water and step out if you feel funny. When i was in a reg bed i would lay on my side with my arms over my head to get a little color on that part of me and it worked well its just awkward

best way to tan is not to tan Tanning is so bad for u and can cause cancer if u knew about the safety issues then u would not go tanning in the first place

you can buy several different lotions to help this, there are tingle lotions, which bring something up in your skin to help you tan, it feels burny so if you never tried it i recomend going with a lower lever tingle. there is also tanning lotions that have bronzer in it which can make you look darker and tan quicker. another trick to getting tan in a tanning bed is to flip onto your stomach halfway through with your arms above your head. This way your chest, stomach, armpits, legs and whatever else on your front can get more tan. lol. This also helps with the lines you may begin to notice starting right underneath the butt area. to get rid of this you can also flip on your stomach and when your on your back you can bend your knees.
About the problem with your sides getting tan, there is nothing you can really do about that except for trying a different kind of bed. at the tanning salon i go to there is a bed that resembles a coffin. which encloses almost completely and gets your sides, so just look around your area at the tanning salons and see if any have them
good luck tanning<3

You should post your pic in like 10 years when you are old and leathery

Just pop on a lower spf sunblock, sun ‘er up and hope you’re not one of the unfortunate people that is destined for skin cancer. Don’t let yourself burn and if you do then accept the fact that you have a lighter complexion.
