so i was really bored one day and i decided to pierce along my tan line…its something called a surface piercing…
anyway i put three safety pins in and then when i tried to put in actual jewelry i could only get one in
now all three are infected so how do i get rid of the infection?
Take them out, sweetie. Piercing yourself is a bad idea in general, but surface piercings are the piercings that generally reject most often.
My recommendation: take them out, clean them and let them heal, and then if you still want them, go get them professionally done.
wow, try rubbing alcohol

Are you like psycho? Is this a call for attention?
Take em’ out, and let your body heal on it’s own.

That might require a prescription of antibiotics, depending on the area that is inflamed.
However – go to a pharmacist – get a bottle of hibiclens surgical scrub – it kills nearly everything. Follow the directions (yes, wash for the full 3 minutes) 4 times a day. Be sure to rinse thoroughly, then apply neosporin.
If it doesnt start to improve I want you to go to a doctor on the third day, k?
Next time you get bored, call a friend and go to the movies or something

Edit – I’m sorry, I neglected to mention that if they are infected the length of the pins they should come out. And you do want the skin to heal – thats the point. Rotate the pins when applying the neosporin 4 times a day.
use peroxide or a salt soulution ment for peiricings, i would go to a peircing parlor and get some cleaning solution and ask what they suggest you do you truly need to take them out but you cant afford for the skin to close while there is still infection it could move into your blood stream. DO NOT put neosporien on a peircing it will promote your skin to heal and attach itself to the jewlry…..wait read all of this before you do anything! http://www.piercing.org/faq/surface.html

ouch sounds really painful…next time don’t do your own piercings. When I got a nose piercing and it became infected I put epson salt on the infection and it cured right up.
