I want to start tanning in a bed but the lotions are so expensive! Is there anywhere i could buy a good but cheap lotion? I’ve heard it can be risky so I wanted some advice
I don’t care about the cancer and the wrinkles so if thats all you have to say, please dont answer because i’m only trying to find a good tanning lotion for tanning in a bed.

The lotions that Sally’s sells are pretty good for the price. If you have a credit card, go to eBay.

  1. Just buy one of those lotions at the drugstore that brighten your skin while giving it some color. Jurgens has lotion that gives you color and a nice glow. You can buy that stuff at rite aid, walmart, kmart, etc.

  2. First of all tanning in a bed is really dangerous. You can get skin cancer even though you’re not really being exposed to the sun. That being said I think you should stick to self tanners which you can find for cheap at your local drugstore. All in all you should just not worry about tanning. It looks really fake and you should just appreciate your natural skin tone.

  5. I love the tanning lotion that I bought at Bikini Kitchen. It gives my skin a natural glow, especially in the winter when I would otherwise be pale. http://www.bikinikitchen.com

  7. Amazon.com is usually a safe source for tanning lotions.

First you’ll have to figure out a tanning lotion you actually like. There are different kinds. There’s accelerators which basically just speed up your tan. Then, there’s bronzers, which will speed up your tan AND provide you with some "fake" tan too. There’s also something called a "sizzle" or "tingle", which does speed up your tan a lot, but it literally HURTS and turns you as bright red as a lobster for a few hours.

If you’re just starting to tan in a bed, I’d suggest the lotion "Pure Sky" by Devoted Creations. Devoted Creations is one of the biggest tanning lotion brands and Pure Sky is great for starters. It’s just an accelerator– no bronzer, so you don’t have to worry about being streaky at all. If you buy it in a salon it’s $45, but on Amazon.com it’s only $18.99 (which is what the tanning salons pay for it.)

  8. If you need other options for a suntan, then self sun tanning works quite well and is very easy to do. There really is no shortage when it comes to variety and quality in the self tanning product line.

You don’t have to expose your skin to hours in the sun or in a tanning booth. We have some tips for you to think about when you’re searching of the perfect self tanning product to use.

There are so many different kinds, but it doesn’t matter, all self tanning lotions, creams, etc have to dry on your skin before you can resume normal activities. While some of these products dry very quickly, in a matter of minutes, others take longer, in some cases hours. But what’s cool is that you can get that information from the label when you’re shopping. If you have used a certain self tanning product in the past and are trying a different one, it may take more or less time to dry. So just a tip to always be careful with application and allowing it to fully dry so you get the best results.

The reason we say all this is because if you interfere with the drying process, your skin may not be tan – it could be something you don’t want at all. That’s why it’s essential to use self sun tanning products properly. There are spray kits available where you actually spray the tanning solution onto your body, and they may be the better solutions. Salons will provide this service if you don’t want to do it yourself, and it seems like it could be difficult to get it on evenly. This can get a little pricey, but at least in the beginning you can have it done and get familiar with the process. However, we urge you to be careful if you do it yourself, and be sure to read everything before trying it. But the tan itself is good for about two weeks, approximately, and will go away on its own. What we’ve talked about is about the best looking kind of tan you’ll get from a self tanning product.

Is it possible to get a tan by taking the right vitamins? So far it seems that it could be an urban legend, so don’t look for anything in the stores about it. At most, certain supplements, notably tyrosine, may increase the body’s production of melanin, which can make tanning easier. We strongly encourage you not to try taking any supplements for tanning purposes.

Vitamins, minerals and herbs may be beneficial for the health of the skin, and may even help you get or maintain a tan if you spend time outdoors. However, if you want a real self sun tanning solution, you’ll have to use one of the products you apply to your skin. If a self tanning product is something that works for you, then you should use them because there are high quality solutions out there. If you’re very busy, then they are a terrific option for getting a great tan. You could need to be patient until you find a self tanning product that works well for you. There is much more on the net about self tanning products, so be sure to do some homework and good luck.

  9. If you are located in California, check my source to see where to Find Cheap California Tan Lotion. Many retailers offer ‘package deals’ that contain products for all three stages. Buying from these retailers is an excellent way to get your hands on cheap California Tan lotions, especially if you intend to follow their recommended three-step tanning process, anyway.
