What is the difference between the ‘fair to medium’ and ‘medium to dark’ tanning lotions?

So, I just picked up Nivea Sun Kissed Beautiful Legs tanning lotion, but I accidentally got it in ‘Medium to Dark’ instead of ‘Fair to Medium.’ I have relatively light skin… not olive but not pasty white. What will happen if I just go ahead and use the lotion?


Apparently the color is very subtle. So using it once or twice wont turn you black.
