Just dont want to looke washed out. And makeup looks orange on me or way to white! Please help!?!?!?

For the idea of consuming carrots, my fifth grade teacher had a carrots addiction and it did take effect on her skin tone; except her skin tone became rather orange rather than tan.

  1. I wouldnt try eating to tan, unless you have an obsession with carrots. Even if you did eat like a bunny, its not going to work.

Your best bet is to use a self tanner. Hempz and Neutrogina make good ones. Just be sure you exfoliate with a salt or sugar scrub all over your body, and them moisturize before applying self tanner. Use gloves, or immediately wash your hands after.

  5. Dove Natural Glow Lotion. It works really great and gives a subtle change and does not turn you orange! Make sure you get the right tone for you skin and get the seperate lotion made specifically for face

  6. congratulations for giving up tanning. your skin will thank you forever.

if your makeup looks orange, you are buying the wrong shades. go to the cosmetics counter at the department stores and ask for help picking out a shade. if they are too expensive for you, buy it once and then pick a similar shade from the drug store. make sure the cosmetics company offers a return policy in case you don’t like the color.

jergens does make a good brand, but i have also found a good, but expensive, spray at sephora.

the person suggesting exfoliating and moisturizing is right. also using gloves.

the way you put it on is crucial. don’t rub in on. the dye will collect in the tiny wrinkles of your skin and you will get dark and light spots. put a little on your gloved hand and gently pat it on a small area at a time. you may want to start by using a brand that offers a gradual color when used over several days. especially until you get good a applying it and can choose the right color.

    good luck

  7. Try a little bronzing powder, not a dark one though and not all over the face but just to your cheek bones bridge of nose chin and forhead to finish it off a light pink lip gloss to flatten the look.

  8. You could try spray tanning since that’s pretty harmless. You could also try different skincare. Burt’s Bees make Carrot Nuritive Body Lotion, Night Creme, and Day Creme and they all give you a glow by bringing blood closer to the surface of the skin. The scent isn’t super carroty, it actually smells pretty decent. =)
