Theres a dance next weekend at my high school and I was just wondering if you had any recommendations for a good tanning lotion/ spray that will just make my legs look tan for the night…like one that won’t run if im hot or start sweating or get on clothes
p.s. please not super expensive…just one night
Thanks so much!
Kudos for you for considering self-tanner instead of using the sun’s dangerous rays. The problem here is that I have no idea what your skin type is. If you are not sure, take the skin type questionnaire developed by world-renown and board-certified dermatologist Dr. Leslie Baumann. You must register first before you can take the questionnaire. Afterwards, you can visit the specified forum that is tailored to your unique skin type for production recommendation on self-tanners and discussion about sun safety.
For Normal to Oily/Combination, try: Neutrogena Build-A-Tan Gradual Sunless Tanning with with dihydroxyacetone to give you the tan along with Magnesium Aluminum Silicate to soak up sebum. Now do not expect to stay matte for hours because that effect depends on how active your oil glands are. This does contain fragrance, but all the way at the end of the list.
For Normal to Dry, try Alba Botanica Golden Tan Sunless Tanning Lotion with dihydroxyacetone and erythrulose to give you a tan. It contain a generous blend of plant emollients along with anti-irritants and antioxidants. It does contain fragrance, but all the way at the end of the list.
If you want something without fragrance, try Paula’s Choice Almost the Real Thing Self-Tanning Gel, for All Skin Types. It’s gel consistency absorbs well. If you have dry skin, you want to apply a moisturizer over after a few minutes
You MUST wear sunscreen that is suitable for your skin type.
Best wishes
Jergens is really good. It only took a week to see the results but definetley also get sunscreen because it increases the risk of sun damage without it.
