I wanted to tan. Seeing as tanning beds make me nervous, do the UV lamps make the bed glass too hot?

Well sense you are only tanning for a short time (so you won’t get burned) the bed glass should not have time to get that hot. I your really worried about it there are stand up tanning booths. They have no glass, just UV lamps.

Me!
I wouldn’t be worried.
I started using indoor tanning a year ago and have used over 30 different types of beds.
When you tan for the first time your skin needs to get used to the exposure. You start out with a shorting time, maybe 8-10 minutes. Because you are there shortly the beds will we warm, but not too hot. The longer you tan for, the hotter the beds will get.
I’ve tanned for 20 minutes many, many times. It gets hot but its not unbearable. You can expect to sweat and feel hot but its worth it when its over.
Hope that helped!
