im not familiar at all with tanning beds but im curious, i have always got nice deep tans from the sun if i stay out there for only an hour or 2.
I’m not sure why, but I can’t seem to tan from laying in the sun, but I tan easily in the tanning beds. If I start with a tanning bed tan, then any sun exposure will contribute to it, but if I start with laying out in the sun, it seems to take forever.
Laying out on the beach without sunscreen for an entire day will give me a third degree burn, and then I’ll avoid the sun for weeks afterwards; laying in a tanning bed for 10 minutes makes me a little pink. The second day I’ll tan for 12 minutes, and I’ll already start looking browner. By the third day people start commenting, and by the end of the first week I’m as tanned as I would be from a whole summer of sitting by the pool.
If you tan naturally, then a tanning bed is pointless for you. And you have less to worry about UVB and UVA damage if your skin has a lot of natural pigment to protect you.
they are in the business of tanning and they are happy to take your money to get you to the tan you want
there is as much danger in tanning beds as sun, you have to be careful and prudent about either
sunburns are no fun and could cause a lot more damage that a mere burn

because in a tanning bed you get the same results in 12 minutes than you would from 2 hours of sun… if you use an indoor tanning lotion, results are even better.

In tanning beds youll get much more UVA & UVB rays and your alottt closer to them. It’ll also give you skin cancer faster. : )

Because the sun, a source of harmful ultraviolet radiation, is normally found approximately 93,000,000 miles away from your body, give or take a few thousand.
The tanning bed, another source of harmful ultraviolet radiation, is normally found less than a yard away.
Yes, the bulbs are "weaker" but you are also physically closer to the weaker rays, which does have an effect. Tanning beds also promote potentially fatal skin cancer much more aggressively than natural sun tanning does for the same reason.
