is it safe to tan in tanning beds without tanning lotion on?

Ok ok, I know I keep asking tanning bed questions, but I have never tanned before so I just want to know what is ok and what isn’t from people who do use tanning beds, or work at a tanning salon.

Depending on your natural skin tone yes. If you are more olivey and dark you do not need to wear lotion. If you are fair or lighter skinned, I would reccomend wearing it. The only thing I would reccomend if you do not want to use tanning lotion is only going for about 6-9 minutes your first 3 times.

My sister works at a tanning salon and she always recommends lotion. I guess it because you’d have a better chance of buring. And I’m pretty sure, it’ll give you colour faster. (That is if you use lotion with bronser in it)
