How long does it usually take for tanning beds to start working on your skin?

I just started going to a tanning salon and I was wondering how long it takes for the tanning beds to have any effect if I go every other day?
It’s important that tanning beds should be use sparingly, as excessive use can cause skin cancer. Be sure to use common sense. If you feel uncomfortable, end your session early. Being tan is no reason to burn your skin. Tanning bed use should be increased in 2 to 5 minute increments, or else you risk getting burned. Never stay in a tanning bed for more than 20 minutes.
it won’t take long at all. you will burn the first time and that will turn into a tan. I recommend Not going every other day because that will only increase your risks for skin cancer and you will get badly burned. try going once a week at the most.

Go every second day for best results, being very careful not to burn – ever. And, use a good tanning lotion to help keep your skin moist and to help your tan develop sooner and look better. Depending on your skin type it could take anywhere from 3 to 6 visits for your tan to really start to develop. Don’t rush it, let the tan develop slowly – rushing it will only cause dry skin or burning, both of which will not help your tan at all.
