Do tanning beds provide the wavelengths that allow one’s body to produce vitamin D?

This is a mix of field so I guess it makes it harder to answer.
Vitamin D is supposed to make you feel better generally which is why some people get bummed during winter. Simply put, do tanning beds allow the production of vitamin D like regular sunlight? I don’t see why not but a friend of mine thought otherwise.

tanning beds do not provide vitamin D
some processed foods do, they indicate it on the can
other than that, sun is the only way to get vitamin D :)
